The role & about the client:
ITS Building People are recruiting on behalf of a well-established construction company with specialist expertise in new builds, extensions and refurbishments of self-storage facilities, alongside educational and residential projects.
Our client is seeking a Trainee Site Manager to join their team on a project based in Sutton. This is an excellent opportunity for a construction graduate or an ambitious individual looking to develop a long-term career in site management. You will be working closely with an experienced Site Manager, gaining hands-on exposure to all aspects of site operations and project delivery.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting with the day-to-day management of site operations
• Supporting the coordination of subcontractors, suppliers, and deliveries
• Helping to ensure works are carried out safely, on time, and to a high standard
• Assisting with health & safety compliance and site documentation
• Monitoring progress against programme and reporting to senior management
• Supporting quality control and snagging processes

The ideal candidate will have/be:

• A graduate in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline (preferred)
• Keen to learn and progress within site management
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A proactive and professional attitude
• Previous site experience (placement, internship, or similar) beneficial but not essential

Pay & employment options:

• Self-employed: £160-£180 per day
• Permanent: £35,000+ per year (depending on experience)
