On behalf of our client, ITS Building People (Southampton) are searching for an ambitious and career driven Estimator to join a dynamic and forward-thinking Maintenance and Refurbishment company based in the Fareham.
This is an office based role with site visits required for a company located in the Fareham area. The company is a busy Maintenance and Refurbishment specialist focusing in the Hospitality sector. Estimators will be responsible for evaluating the costs of construction on maintenance and repair projects as well as developing budgets and estimates for clients. Estimators will consult with engineers, architects and contractors to review plans and specifications, identify and quantify costs, and recommend cost-savings strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in a related field such as: Construction Management, Engineering or Architecture.
- 3+ years of experience as an estimator in the construction or maintenance industry.
- Proven ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Excellent knowledge of construction materials, methods, and codes
- Strong analytic skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft office and estimating software.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience with cost modelling and value engineering is a plus.
- Positive attitude with a team player mentality.
Projects range from £1000 – £50,000 and are a mixture of reactive maintenance and small refurbishment projects, bathrooms, kitchens, internal and external decorations.
