Location: Worthing

Salary: £70,000 – £80,000 + Package

Start Date: July

A well respected main contractor based on the South Coast who specialises in the commercial and industrial sectors work covering projects across Hampshire, Dorset, and West Sussex. With a recent win of a £12M project Worthing they are looking for an experienced Project manager to join their team.

Role Overview

As a Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving the successful execution of construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the project, including planning, resource allocation, risk management, and stakeholder communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company objectives.
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors, fostering collaboration and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Monitor project progress, identify and address potential roadblocks, and implement effective solutions to ensure timely completion.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimise project-related risks.
  • Regularly communicate project status, milestones, and key updates to clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring transparency and managing expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, building codes, and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct comprehensive project evaluations, identify areas for improvement, and implement lessons learned in future projects.

The ideal candidate:
 
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working for a medium sized Main Contractor on a variety of sectors with a proven track record of successful projects completed on time and to the correct procedures.
 
Essential Qualifications/ experience required/ specific requirements for the role:  

  • Experience working for a Main Contractor
  • Previous experience as a Project Manager 
  • SMSTS/SSSTS

Where a range of rate of pay is quoted the level of experience, qualifications & related training required is the minimum required in order to qualify for the lowest rate of pay quoted.
