Our client, a leading main contractor in the construction industry, is on the lookout for a Junior Construction Project Manager with a strong carpentry background. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on professional ready to transition into project management within the commercial, education and health sectors.

Your Role:

• Assist in the planning and execution of commercial fit-out and extension projects
• Work alongside site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth operations
• Interpret and work with construction drawings and specifications
• Conduct site inspections, ensuring quality control and project compliance
• Ensure all health & safety regulations are met
• Manage materials, workforce scheduling, and project timelines
• Use your carpentry expertise to provide technical guidance and problem-solving on-site

What We’re Looking For:

• A strong background in carpentry (trade qualification preferred)
• Exposure to or experience in project management within construction
• Experience in commercial fit-outs and extensions
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
• Computer literacy is a must
