Job Role: Civils Site Manager.
Job Type: Contract/Permanent.

Salary (Dependant on experience): up to £350 per day.
 
The Role and about the client:
 
ITS Building People are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly regarded Civil Engineering contractor, with the role being set within Sussex. Known for delivering high-grade Civil Engineering and infrastructure projects across the South, this company has developed a strong reputation for quality, attention to detail and collaborative package delivery. They are seeking an experienced Site Manager with a heavy civil engineering background to accompany their existing strong pool of Site Management. This is an exciting opportunity to join a close-knit team in a company that is looking to go to the next level over the coming year.
 
Key Responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to;

• Producing method statements and risk assessments.
• Ensuring compliance with environmental action plans, obtaining/complying with licenses and consents as well as completing plant & material requisitions as required, also dealing with returns weekly.
• Assessing labour levels and skills to ensure site is working to full operational capacity.
• Develop and update the Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality Plans, Waste Management plan, Carbon Calculator and Materials Management Plan in consultation with the Project / Contracts Manager.
• Responsible for Incident Reports, security and waste management arrangements including transfer notes
• Devise Lift Plans (if Appointed Person qualified).

The ideal candidate will have:

• SMSTS
• First Aid trained.
• Experience within a range of heavy civil engineering projects.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and cost management skills.
• A professional, collaborative approach to working.
