Site Engineer
The role & about the client:
On behalf of our client, ITS Building People are searching for an experienced Site Engineer to join an award winning, dynamic, and forward-thinking Civils principal Contractor based in Hampshire/ Dorset region. Due to sustained and continuous growth as well as an order book stretching they are looking to add to their engineering team. The successful candidate will have extensive civils and water treatment experience.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Interpret and implement engineering drawings, plans and specifications
- Ensure construction activities align with design requirements and industry standards
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and other stakeholders
- Ensure timely delivery and installation of materials and equipment
- Liaise with project managers and other engineers to track progress
- Inspect works to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications
- Maintain quality control documentation
- Promote and enforce HSE policy on site
- Ensure method statements and risk assessments are followed
- Monitor site conditions to prevent environmental contamination and uphold sustainability.
- Track project progress against the construction schedule
- Attend site meetings and provide updates on site activities
- Experience and knowledge from working on water treatment projects.
Essential Qualifications/ experience required/ specific requirements for the role:
- Previous experience of Site Engineer on civil engineering projects
- Knowledge of construction methods, health and safety, and legal regulations
- Fully conversant with the use of robotic total station or EDM instruments
- Relevant tickets- EUSR
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to read, understand and measure from Working Drawings
