Quantity Surveyor (Consultancy)

We are working in partnership with a leading project and cost management consultancy who are looking for an experinced Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team in Bristol.

They have opportunities across a wide range of sectors, with projects ranging in value from £0.5m to £30m+ with a variety of high-profile clients, giving their team a diverse and exciting workload.

Responsibilities:

Working within a team and provide a range of Quantity Surveying / Employer’s Agent duties from project inception through to completion
Preparing Estimates / Cost Plans / Bills of Quantities / Tender Documents
Providing post contract Quantity Surveying / Employer’s Agent services
Preparing data and reports to timescales in a format required by line management/client.
Working collaboratively with other service teams to provide an integrated approach to client delivery.
Managing client relationships and service delivery on a project basis, in conjunction with senior management

About you:

Qualified with a BSc (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying (or similar qualification)
Minimum of 3 years post grad experience
Working towards, or already a recently chartered member of the RICS.
Sound experience of working with both private and public sector clients and a working knowledge of construction contracts.
A knowledge and understanding of the component parts of a project and overall construction costs, coupled with a competent knowledge of a range of project procurement options.
Great interpersonal skills, an ability to communicate effectively (both internally and with Clients), and a willingness and determination to progress your career quickly.
You will have the necessary ambition and drive to deliver a high-quality professional service and progress your career.
IT skills, such as Excel, Word, Outlook. An understanding of PowerBI would also be beneficial but not essential.
A sound understanding of Cost Planning / Measurement software e.g. CostX
Good organisational skills
Self-motivation and keen to become an integral office team member
An ability to make you own informed decisions and work unsupervised when necessary
