The Opportunity
A leading specialist principal contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their growing delivery team working across cladding remediation, façade refurbishment and external envelope projects throughout London and the South East.
With over 20 years of successful project delivery, our client has established themselves as a recognised leader within the cladding remediation sector, delivering complex regeneration, fire safety and building safety projects for clients across The Public Sector, Local Authorities and Housing Associations.
This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of multi-million-pound remediation schemes from pre-construction through to practical completion, managing programme, commercial performance, quality, health & safety and stakeholder relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
Working closely with Contracts Managers, Commercial Teams, Design Managers, Resident Liaison Officers and Site Management Teams, you will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, compliantly, on programme and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Full project ownership from mobilisation through to completion
- Creation, management and monitoring of project programmes and budgets
- Management of Site Managers, Assistant Site Managers and site-based teams
- Coordination of design, commercial, procurement and construction activities
- Management of specialist subcontractors and supply chain partners
- Delivery of projects to agreed programme, quality and budget targets
- Monitoring project performance and implementing corrective actions where required
- Management of client, consultant and stakeholder relationships
- Attendance at progress meetings, design meetings and client reviews
- Oversight of project quality assurance and compliance procedures
- Working closely with commercial teams to monitor costs, variations and project performance
- Ensuring health & safety standards are maintained across all site activities
- Supporting resident engagement and customer satisfaction objectives
- Management of project reporting, documentation and governance processes

About You
- Essential
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within construction, façade, cladding or external envelope environments
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary subcontractor teams
- Strong programme management experience
- Experience delivering projects within budget and to programme
- Ability to manage client and stakeholder relationships effectively
- Strong understanding of quality assurance and compliance processes
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- CSCS Card
- SMSTS
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Highly Desirable
- Cladding Remediation Experience
- Fire Safety Remediation Experience
- EWI / External Envelope Experience
- Experience working for a Principal Contractor
- HNC / HND or Degree in Construction Management or related discipline
- Scaffold Inspection
