Project Manager (Building Consultancy)

We are working in partnership with one of the world’s leading property consultancies. Their experience and expertise span the globe with offices across Europe, the Americas, Asia Pacific, Africa and the Middle East.

As part of their ongoing expansion, they are looking for a Project Manager to join their Building & Project Consultancy team in Manchester.

You will be dealing with a broad spectrum of corporate real estate projects in a range of sectors, and will receive the support of a dynamic team that is aspiring to develop and expand their client profile and track record. You will work alongside a number of Directors within the team and will be given excellent project exposure along with formal and informal training to develop your skills and experience.

Excellent prospects exist for career progression with an established route for promotion.

Role and responsibilities:

🔹 Preparation of fee proposals and presentations to existing and new clients.
🔹 Support and advise clients in the strategic planning of projects, including providing advice on the overall approach, team, procurement routes, design management, project opportunities, key risks and mitigation.
🔹 Programme creation and management.
🔹 Delivery of the necessary documentation required for the delivery of the project, including producing minutes of meetings, project reports, financial reports and other associated documents.
🔹 Contract administration
🔹 Collaboration with the professional team throughout all stages of the project including briefing, design, tender, construction and handover.
🔹 Overseeing project completion and close out activities.

About you:

🔹 You will hold a relevant degree (e.g. Building Surveying, Construction Project Management, Architecture)
🔹 Minimum 2 years’ experience (or more) in a similar role – ideally gained within a consultancy
🔹 Organised, diligent, proactive, and commercially astute.
🔹 A team player with a ‘can do’ attitude
🔹 Ability to identify and develop potential opportunities and to secure business
