The role & about the client:
On behalf of our client, ITS Construction Professionals South are recruiting for a Project Manager to join a reputable contractor. This client is looking for a permanent candidate with main contracting experience and to be based on site in the Mitcham area. 

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Develop and maintain the construction program
• Plan project phases, sequences of work, and resource allocation 
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to align with program milestones 
• Ensure the works are delivered in accordance with the main contractor, subcontractor agreements and statutory regulations
• Manage variations and contracts changes, including cost and time implications 
• Maintain all required project documentations and approvals.  
• Act as point of contact between client and internal teams 
• Work with the Quantity Surveyor to manage project budget
• Monitor cost reports, cash flow forecasts and procurement schedules 
• Monitor build quality, progress and conformance to specs and drawings 
• Resolve technical issues and delays as they arise
• Ensure the project complies with HSE regulations and the company’s health and safety procedures 
• Support the Site Manager in maintaining safe working conditions and a clean site
• Maintain a professional interface with external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have/be:

• Proven experience working a main contractor 
• Degree qualification in Construction Management 
• Strong knowledge
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, site plans and construction documents
• Skilled in Project Management software and programs 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
