Associate – M&E Design

We are working in partnership with a highly respected global construction and property consultancy who provide management and advice throughout the built environment.

Due to their continued expansion, they are looking for an ambitious Associate to help grow their M&E Design team in Bristol.

The Role:

This role presents an exciting opportunity for a proactive Mechanical Design Consultant, to help build an M&E Design team, with support from the existing M&E teams across the UK.

You will assist the wider team with the delivery of interesting projects, with diverse demands, whilst seeking to holistically continue their professional development and knowledge within the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivery of Mechanical design consultancy duties, including; engineering feasibility studies, production of performance and full design information in line with RIBA stages, project quality monitoring (M&E)
• Attend project client and design team meetings.
• Undertake computer aided design and use design calculation software.
• Engage and support with other work streams within business unit.
• Intrinsically incorporate or advise of energy efficiency and carbon reduction opportunities for projects.
• Be an integral part of the team that is responsible for the commercial and contractual performance of a project.

About you:

You will be able to demonstrate a positive proactive approach to the role, with the aim of helping build the M&E design offering in Bristol.

• Engineering / building services / electrical professional qualification in design (HNC / Degree).
• Experience within an existing established building services consultancy.
• Belong to a professional / industry body (CIBSE / IET / Engineering Council).
• Effective communicator with colleagues and Clients.
• Passionate about sustainable engineering and have experience with decarbonisation M&E projects.
