About the client:
Our client is a respected main contractor with a strong track record of delivering complex healthcare, education, and commercial projects across the South of England. They are currently seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager to lead delivery on a live hospital project in St Leonards. This role requires a manager with a strong background in healthcare construction, able to oversee strict compliance, health & safety standards, and coordination of specialist subcontractors within a live hospital environment.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Manage daily site activities and coordinate subcontractors on a live hospital project
• Ensure compliance with all health & safety regulations, infection control, and site protocols
• Oversee programme delivery, sequencing of works, and progress reporting
• Manage client liaison and maintain professional communication with hospital stakeholders
• Monitor quality standards and ensure works meet strict healthcare regulations
• Produce accurate site records, reports, and ensure RAMS are followed

The ideal candidate will have/be:

• Proven Site Manager experience in healthcare or hospital construction projects
• SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid (essential)
• Strong knowledge of live environment protocols and infection control requirements
• Excellent leadership, organisation, and communication skills
• Ability to manage specialist trades and deliver high standards under tight deadlines
