The role & about the client:
 
On behalf of our client, ITS Construction Professionals South are recruiting for a Civils Site Manager to join a 

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensuring compliance with all health, safety and environmental regulations
• Conducting regular site inspections, toolbox talks and risk assessments
• Promoting a safety- first culture on site
• Maintaining site paperwork
• Managing and coordinating site operatives, subcontractors and operators 
• Allocating work and ensuring effective workforce management 
• Ensuring all staff are briefed on daily tasks and safety requirements
• Keeping accurate records of site activities (diary diaries, progress reports)
• Reporting on progress, risks, delays and issues to senior management 
• Acting as the main point of contact 
• Ensuring correct execution of road construction and resurfacing, drainage and kerbing etc. 
• Understanding NRSWA Regulations, Section 278 works and highway authority standards. 

The ideal candidate will have/be:

• Proven experience as a Site Manager doing highways and heavy civils 
• Strong background in Section 278 
• Previous experience managing NRSWA 
• Relevant tickets- SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid 
• Excellent communication skills
• Great understanding of groundworks, deep drainage. 
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
