The role & about the client:

On behalf of our client, ITS Building People (Southampton) are searching for a Setting Out/ Site Engineer to join a leading Civil Engineering company for Commercial projects across Southampton. 
 
Key Responsibilities –

• Setting out Groundworks, 278 works, Landscaping, Services, Internal walls, Internal and external drainage with surveying equipment (GPS & Robotic Total Stations)
• Manage all engineering activity providing direction to the direct workforce and subcontractors
• Leading quality control to ensure the standards are met in accordance to the design specifications
• Assist in producing permits to break ground (CAT Scanning management)
• Ensuring the highest health, safety and environmental standards are met on site adhering to the client’s and business’s requirement
• Review project design and work with the relevant stakeholders to propose solutions by raising RFI’s
• Liaise with the site team to approve materials ensuring they meet specification
• Keep accurate records of progress reports, site diaries and resource allocations
• Produce as-built drawings in AutoCAD

Essential Qualifications/ experience required/ specific requirements for the role:

• Relevant tickets
• Relevant piling works experience 
• Experience working as a Setting out/ Site Engineer within a commercial site 
• Ideally have their own kit
