Site Agent / Site Manager
We are working in partnership with a highly regarded marine and land-based civil engineering contractor that continues to grow across the UK. As part of this expansion, they are looking to appoint an experienced and motivated Site Agent / Site Manager to strengthen their delivery team.
This is an opportunity to work on high-profile projects including coastal protection, harbours, flood defences, piling and dredging schemes nationwide.
The Role
As Site Agent / Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of civil and marine infrastructure projects, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all site operations, including labour, subcontractors, plant, materials, logistics and traffic management
Champion a proactive health, safety and environmental culture through briefings, toolbox talks, inspections and audits
Manage technical delivery, including drawings, specifications, ITPs, inspections and testing, working closely with engineering teams to resolve issues
Undertake short-term planning, monitor progress and produce clear, accurate reports
Coordinate all site stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams, to ensure smooth project delivery
Provide accurate site information to support commercial and cost management teams
Operate effectively within tidal, environmental and programme constraints, requiring strong planning and problem-solving skills
Location & Working Pattern
UK-wide, site-based role across a variety of project locations
Regular travel and overnight stays will be required
Essential Criteria
HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline
Minimum 3 years’ experience in civil engineering site delivery at Site Agent / Site Manager level
Background in civil engineering, infrastructure, utilities or heavy civils
CSCS Site Manager/Supervisor card; SMSTS preferred
Full UK driving licence
