Senior Quantity Surveyor
We are proud to be working in partnership with a highly respected Tier 1 contractor, currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team on a flagship, multi-million-pound project in Cardiff. This landmark venue is set to transform the city’s landscape and will stand as one of Wales’ most significant and high-profile construction developments.

The Role
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a critical role in the commercial management, cost planning, and contract administration of this complex build. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, senior stakeholders, and project leaders to ensure financial control, transparency, and value for money across all stages of the construction lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the commercial function including cost planning, forecasting, and reporting
- Administer contracts and ensure compliance with NEC or JCT standards
- Lead subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and performance management
- Conduct value engineering and risk management assessments
- Prepare detailed cost reports and present to senior leadership
- Support the wider project team in achieving programme and budgetary targets.
Requirements:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role, preferably on large-scale commercial projects
- Strong working knowledge of NEC and/or JCT contracts
- Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills
- High level of proficiency in cost management software and reporting tools
- Clear, confident communicator with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
