The role & about the client: ITS Building People are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly regarded civil engineering and infrastructure contractor for a project in Havant. Known for delivering major infrastructure and civil engineering projects across the South, this company has built a strong reputation for quality, attention to detail, and collaborative project delivery. They are seeking an Office Assistant who can assist the office manager with day-to-day duties. This is an exciting opportunity to join a close-knit, professional team delivering a major infrastructure scheme that will support residents of the South long intro the future.
 
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
 

  • Greeting visitors to the project when they arrive, notifying team members of their arrival and ensuring a warm welcome.
  • Assisting with maintaining the sign-in system
  • Preparing meeting rooms, arranging refreshments and lunch if required.
  • Ordering lunch with the caterer..
  • Helping to organise office and social events (including mental health day, fitness challenges, summer BBQ’s, Christmas Party etc)
  • Assisting in organising transport & accommodation for site staff if required.
  • Ordering stationary, some site equipment as well as welfare equipment.
  • Maintaining and ordering PPE for new staff.
  • General admin tasks – laminating, assisting with security passes etc.

 
The ideal candidate will have:
 

  • Good Time Management.
  • Efficient in the use of Office 365.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to express Adaptability +  Creativity.
  • Full Driving License (due to the remote nature of the project).
  • Experience within a similar role (preferred but not essential).
  • Experience in working with directors and top management (preferred but not essential).
