Foreman / Sub Agent
The role & about the client:
On behalf of our client, ITS Construction Professionals South are recruiting for a Foreman/ Sub Agent to join a reputable contractor. This client is a leading civils contractor in the Kent and East Sussex region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in creating short term and long term construction programs
- Coordinate with engineers, planners and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with the program
- Monitor progress and adjust plans as necessary
- Oversee daily site operations for the works
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Manage site logistics (deliveries, access, waste removal etc)
- Ensure works are carried out to specification, drawing and standard
- Maintain quality control records and NCRs
- Liaise with the foreman, engineers, subcontractors and suppliers
- Attend daily or weekly coordination meetings
- Enforce safe systems of work and risk assessments
- Participate in and lead toolbox talks and site inductions
- Assist with measurements of work for valuations and variations
- Monitor use of materials, labour and equipment against budget
- Maintain accurate site records (daily diaries, progress photos, reports)
- Maintain daily site diary/ logs
- Report labour, plant and material usage
- Not delays or changes in working conditions
The ideal candidate will have/be:
- Relevant tickets- SMSTS., First Aid and CSCS
- Experience working on groundworks, drainage and 278 works
- Strong communication and site leadership skills
- Proven experience working as a Foreman/ Sub Agent
