Driver Labourer

£27,000 – £32,000 per year

Working as part of an on-site construction team, you will assist with a variety of duties to support the safe and efficient delivery of building works across active project sites.

This is a practical, hands-on role where you will be helping site management and skilled trades with daily operations including material handling, site organisation and maintaining a safe working environment.

Previous experience in a construction or site labouring role is essential, along with confidence using basic hand tools.

A full UK driving licence is required as you may be required to move between sites or operate company vehicles where necessary.

Our client

Our client is a contractor specialising in external cladding remediation, delivering cladding repatriations & regeneration contracts throughout the South of England to Local Authorities, Housing Associations and commercial clients.

Key Duties

You will be supporting site teams across projects in and around Basingstoke and surrounding areas.

Typical responsibilities will include:

• Assisting site management with general day-to-day site tasks

• Supporting tradespeople with materials and equipment

• Receiving and organising deliveries on site

• Moving and distributing building materials where required

• Keeping work areas, welfare facilities and walkways clean and safe

• Carrying out minor manual tasks using basic hand tools

• Supporting site safety checks and reporting any issues to management

• Helping ensure the site complies with health and safety standards

Essential:

• CSCS Card essential

• Full UK Driving Licence

• Experience working in a construction or labouring role

• Confident using hand tools

• Physically fit and comfortable with manual work

• Good awareness of health & safety on construction sites

• Reliable with strong timekeeping

• Able to follow instructions and work well within a team

• Positive attitude and willingness to support the wider site team

Experience such as traffic marshalling, plant operation or forklift use would be beneficial but is not essential.
