The role & about the client:
On behalf of our client, ITS Construction Professionals South are recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a reputable contractor. This client is looking for a permanent candidate with main contracting experience and to be based on site in the Mitcham area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and manage detailed cost plans and budgets from pre construction through to final accounts
• Monitor and report on project cost performance against budgets and forecasts 
• Analyse cost impacts of design changes, scope variations and site instructions 
• Administer the main contract and subcontract agreements
• Identify and manage risks and opportunities within contract terms 
• Handle contractual correspondence with the client, consultants and supply chains 
• Identify and manage risks and opportunities within contract terms 
• Prepare and issue tender packages for subcontractors and suppliers 
• Evaluate tender returns and negotiable contract terms 
• Prepare and submit interim applications for payment to the client 
• Identify, evaluate and manage change events and variations 
• Negotiate and agree valuations with the client and subcontractors 

The ideal candidate will have/be:

• Proven experience working for a main contractor 
• Degree in Quantity Surveyor 
• Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor
