The role & about the client:

On behalf of our client, ITS Building People are recruiting for driven and dynamic Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a commercial team working on an exciting development in Hampshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual looking to progress their career and gain hands-on experience within a busy commercial department. Working alongside the Senior Quantity Surveyor and Head of Commercial, you will be involved in all aspects of cost control, contract administration, and project reporting.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Preparing and managing cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts
• Assisting with valuations, variations, and monthly reports
• Measuring and valuing work on site
• Supporting subcontractor procurement and managing payments
• Working closely with site and project teams to ensure commercial success

The ideal candidate will have/be:

• Degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or working towards one
• Some experience in a AQS role (3-4 years preferred)
• Strong numeracy and organisational skills
• A proactive and positive attitude, eager to learn and progress
