The role & about the client: On behalf of our client, ITS Building People (Southampton) are working on behalf of our client, a leading roofing contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects across the South of England. Specialising in commercial projects, they pride themselves on exceptional craftsmanship, safety standards, and client relationships. They are looking for an experienced Roofing Contracts Manager to take ownership of multiple projects, from tender through to completion. This is a hands-on management role where you’ll be visiting sites, liaising with clients, managing teams, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee multiple roofing projects (pitched and flat) across Hampshire and surrounding areas.
- Manage subcontractors and site teams, ensuring work meets safety and quality standards.
- Plan and coordinate labour, materials, and equipment.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Carry out regular site inspections and progress reporting.
The ideal candidate
- Proven experience as a Contracts Manager or similar role within the roofing industry.
- Strong knowledge of roofing systems, materials, and installation methods.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once.
- Full UK driving licence.
Essential Qualifications/ experience required/ specific requirements for the role:
- Proven experience as a Contracts Manager or similar role within the roofing industry.
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) – desirable
- First Aid at Work – desirable.
- Strong knowledge of flat roofing systems, materials, and installation methods.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once.
- Full UK driving licence.
