You will be working for a driven and forward-thinking social housing contractor, who are winning projects, contracts and frameworks down to reputation and client retention.
As the inbound Disrepair Supervisor, you will be joining a team overseeing all aspects of disrepair projects including identifying, assessing and resolving disrepair issues.
Key elements of the role and your responsibilities
- You must a full UK driving licence as a company vehicle will be supplied
- You will play a crucial role in identifying disrepair issues within the contractor’s portfolio of contracts
- Your focus will be on leading a team of professionals to achieve high quality service delivery, optimising operational processes and driving customer satisfaction
- You will work closely and collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders across the business and in partnerships externally with housing associations and local councils to drive improvements and offer a first-class service to customers
- As Disrepair Supervisor you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the resolution of disrepair claims in properties, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and landlord obligations
- Where required you will conduct property inspections, assess disrepair, and supervise the work of contractors and in-house teams to ensure repairs are completed to the required standard and within budget
- You and your team will also play a crucial role in resident liaison, providing updates and maintaining clear communication throughout the process
No one day is the same
- Working across different contract delivery areas, the role will see you covering disrepair cases within:
- Kitchen and Bathroom planned works
- Damp, mould and extreme condensation
- Occupied repairs that have turned into drawn out potential legal claims
- Complex repairs that require additional approaches
- You’ll be responsible for the management of the Disrepair operatives across these contracts, making sure that all resources are utilised efficiently and work closely with colleagues and subcontractors to ensure work is completed to the highest standards in a timely manner.
- The successful completion of these cases is imperative to avoid costly and drawn-out legal claims which could damage client contractor relationship and harm service delivery and KPI’s.
- Work collaboratively with the complaints team on cases that are running in conjunction with legal disrepair cases, housing ombudsman investigations, insurance claims and other high-profile complaints
- Line Management of Disrepair administration and scheduling functions to ensure works are completed in line with KPI’s and SLAs
- Be the escalation point of contact for all internal and external stakeholders on matters relating to open disrepairs cases and high-level complaints
What you need to bring to the role as the successful applicant to the
- Extensive knowledge of maintenance and social housing
- Understanding of managing reactive disrepair and complaint cases
- Excellent customer service skills
- Experience working to a set of KPIs and Service Level Agreements
- Ability to manage a dispersed team of multi trade operatives
- Experience in managing pre and post inspection repairs works
- Work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders
- Ability to monitor works in terms of quality and cost

Hours and pay
- £42,000 – £45,000 + benefits
