The role & about the client:
On behalf of our client, ITS Building People are searching for an experienced QS to join an award winning, dynamic, and forward-thinking commercial Contractor based in Thames Valley. Due to sustained and continuous growth as well as an order book stretching well past 2028, they are looking to add to their management team. The successful candidate will have extensive groundworks, RC Frame, externals, roofing, curtain walling & Facades experience.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks. Undertaking costs analysis. Work autonomously. With little supervision. Procurement. Agreement of the valuation of variations. Checking of sub-contractors interim and final account applications and preparation of associated payments. Payments, Disputes. Cost value reconciliations. Monthly reporting. Assisting in establishing a client’s requirements. Performing risk and value management and cost control. Advising on procurement strategy. Preparing and analyzing costing for tenders.
The ideal candidate
The ideal candidate would have experience working as a QS on Groundworks & RC Frame Projects.
Essential Qualifications/ experience required/ specific requirements for the role:

• Chartered
• Degree educated (Not essential)
• CSCS card
• Asbestos awareness (Not Essential)
• DBS check
