Managing / Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor (Consultancy)

We are working in partnership with an integrated project and programme management consultancy who are looking for a Managing / Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding team in Bristol.

This role will provide you with the opportunity, now or in the future, to grow and lead our clients MEP offering in Bristol.

As a Managing / Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor, you’ll be responsible for delivering work that’s driven by excellence as well as doing the right thing. Should you wish, you will be given the opportunity to lead the M&E service offering, supported by the Head of Cost Management and National Head of M&E services.

You’ll be working on some of the UK’s most high-profile commissions across a wide range of projects and sectors including infrastructure, education, corporate real estate, retail, residential, aviation and healthcare.

About you:

In depth knowledge and experience of Mechanical and Electrical systems, their associated costs and/or where such costs can be determined.
Demonstrable track record in the successful delivery of MEP cost management services
Ability to advise clients on key MEP cost drivers, project costs and value engineering
Feasibility and cost planning, procurement advice, tender documentation, and post contract services.
Effective and efficient knowledge of a range of project procurement options.
Ability to work with the minimum of supervision.
Experienced in client, consultant & contractor facing roles and working as a member of a busy team.
Excellent Communication skills.
An enthusiastic and positive team player, with the desire to integrate and work closely with your immediate and wider teams.

Full quantity surveying and cost management duties
Provision of pre and post contract advice
To ensure the highest quality service delivery to clients
To provide high quality MEP cost advice on complex projects across a range of sectors
Guidance, care and mentoring of staff
