The role & about the client: On behalf of our client, ITS (Construction Professionals South) are searching for an Graduate/Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join an award-winning Construction company who undertake new build housing and care home schemes across Hampshire and West Sussex.
They are looking for a keen learner, willing to assist with all sub-contractor procedures and processes, materials and goods, whilst always checking compliance with Group Policies and Procedures.
As a Graduate/Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will be joining a busy commercial team whilst reporting to a Commercial Manager on various commercial duties
Key Responsibilities
- Accurate monthly forecasting
- Change control management and producing compensation events
- Sending enquiries to subcontractors
- Cashflow forecasts
- Producing and processing formal subcontract documents
- Supporting senior staff in the preparation of tender and contract documents.
- Negotiating with clients and contractors, and cost control and planning.
- Additionally, you will assist with project completion reports and providing solutions to delays, deviations, and other problems that arise during construction.
- Producing interim and final accounts
The ideal candidate:
The ideal candidate will be a recently qualified Quantity Surveying graduate or a candidate who is qualified and has some experience of working as a Trainee/Assistant Surveyor for a Residential Developer/Housebuilder/Main Contractor
